Having worked at Bioware, Kixeye, and most recently as creative director at EA, Jason knows what it takes to ship a game. But before all that, Jason forged his game design career in the fires of competitive esports, joining Major League Gaming to create the first professional platform fighter league. Despite hosting some of the largest and most renowned tournaments of the "Golden Era", Jason realized his path lay through the game industry. After years of successful launches and managing top-grossing games, Jason came to be regarded as "Mr. Fix It" on projects, always ensuring they launched.
Matt "Scav" Fairchild
Like Jason, Matt got his start hosting Smash tournaments back when wavedashing was a controversial strategy. After hosting MOAST3, which held the record for largest platform fighter tournament for years, he pursued a career in advertising before realizing online communities were his true calling. In 2010, he packed up and moved across the country for a video game job in San Francisco, and since then he's applied what he learned in the grassroots scene to companies eager to tap that fervor. At TinyCo, a mobile game developer that works with billion-dollar international IP, Matt rose to Director of Community by espousing a player-first philosophy.
Alex "Zillix" Erlandson
Alex joins Wavedash Games from Kixeye, where he developed the battleserver for the hit MMORTS War Commander. A veteran of the Ludum Dare community, where he's jammed over a dozen top-ranking games (so far), Alex knows how to rapidly develop a polished game from the ground up. His tenacity has earned him a reputation in both his indie and professional careers for delivering high quality work on a tight schedule. Alex will be leading the Wavedash programming efforts, working closely with the design team to develop a stellar competitive game.
Adam "Strong Bad" Oliver
Adam began competing in platform fighters back in 2008, and has since grown to a leading tournament host, designer and voice for the community. Best known for his contributions to a highly successful platform fighter mod, Adam brings unparalleled design experience to the team and is tasked with building out a fun and competitive character roster.
Josh "Grumpymonkey" Singh
10-year industry veteran Josh Singh has plied his artistic craft from independent startups to AAA studios, most recently as a leader on the character re-launch team at Riot Games. As Art Director for Wavedash, Josh leads the team of artists and animators bringing our characters to life.
